(How to set up items)

Stock code configuration will determine how Bitlog Wms should handle the Stockcode.

Stored as

First step is to decide how you should handle your stockcode and set "Stored as".

FREE

Default configuration is Free, and this means that stock code isn't configured. Bitlog Wms will not provide any stock reloads and item will be handled as Pieces.

PIECES

Set your stock code to Pieces if you want it to be handled as pieces in the system.
Pieces is used when you have picking place/area, stock reload and/or use configurations like for ex. Expiry product or Production batch no.
You will inbound, stock move, stock take and outbound this stock code in pieces.

BOXES and Items per box

If stock code is configured as BOX. You will need to set value for Items per box, >1.
Bitlog Wms will handled this stock code as a BOX. Bitlog Wms will only allow you to inbound, stock move, stock take and outbound complete boxes to and from buffer bin no's.
A complete box is based on value in Items per box.
This means that you can't split a box in buffer location, Bitlog Wms only allows you to split boxes when inbounding, stock take or outbound to and from a picking place(s).
If stock code is configured as BOX, Bitlog Wms will help user to convert data to box quantity in buffer locations. So that users only need to know the amount of boxes in buffer bin no's.

PALLETS

Prefix: (94)
If stock code is configured as any type of Pallet. Bitlog Wms will handled this stock code as a pallet in the whole system. System will know that this item is stored as pallet in buffer and deep buffer locations. Whole pallets are counted during stock take and during movements whole pallets are moved. It is also possible to pick and deliver a whole pallet.

Pallet Types

Prefix: (90)
Bitlog Wms allows you to set up your own types. Euro pallet is the most common pallet type to use.

9 = Exported (Pallet is exported to external warehouse, balanced only in ERP not in Wms)
10 = Imported (Pallet is imported from external warehouse into picking warehouse)
11 = Produced (Pallet is produced, used when creating pallets and batches in Wms for balance in ERP)
